YARRALGAR

An ongoing series exploring the continuous line playing with the shapes and textures found in nature. The contours of the fallen tree bark and its markings set a playing field for the line work that's not linear or square. I love the way the pink line works with the colour of the bark – which was found on a trip to visit family in the countryside.

The original artwork is available and measures roughly 48x20 centimetres. It isn't flat, and has many ridges, curves and gnarly pieces that add to its beauty. Coral Pink Posca marker on raw fallen tree bark, finished with 2 coats of satin varnish.

The prints are available in a range of sizes and background colours (see below) and capture the piece from overhead, the shadowing giving the print dimension, but also highlighting the rise and fall in the undulating nature of the original piece.
